HOSTESS GLORIA

GLORIA'S STORY
hostess gloria
I was born in Subotica, Serbia, in 1983. Since my early childhood my family and I would spend every summer on the Adriatic coast, so I simply fell in love with the sea. While studying in Zagreb I would spend the summer seasons working as a waitress in many cafes and restaurants on the Croatian coast and that's when I started to get interested in mediterranean food, herbs, drinks and culture in general. I also took a course on macrobiotic cooking and cooked as an assistant chef in a vegetarian takeaway and as a private macrobiotic chef for a family. Don't worry, I prepare meat, too! :-) Apart from cooking, my other passions are music and travelling. I was a choir leader, vocal coach in different performances, singer, music workshop leader, etc. and travelled in Europe, Africa, South-east Asia...Working as a hostess/cook on sailboats is a perfect combination of being in motion, seeing all those beautiful hidden gems of our coast and cooking (I'd call it 'playing' with the food)- not to mention the satisfaction I get when I see my clients' smiling faces after a good meal.
