GLORIA'S STORY

I was born in Subotica, Serbia, in 1983. Since my early childhood my family and I would spend every summer on the Adriatic coast, so I simply fell in love with the sea. While studying in Zagreb I would spend the summer seasons working as a waitress in many cafes and restaurants on the Croatian coast and that's when I started to get interested in mediterranean food, herbs, drinks and culture in general. I also took a course on macrobiotic cooking and cooked as an assistant chef in a vegetarian takeaway and as a private macrobiotic chef for a family. Don't worry, I prepare meat, too! :-) Apart from cooking, my other passions are music and travelling. I was a choir leader, vocal coach in different performances, singer, music workshop leader, etc. and travelled in Europe, Africa, South-east Asia...Working as a hostess/cook on sailboats is a perfect combination of being in motion, seeing all those beautiful hidden gems of our coast and cooking (I'd call it 'playing' with the food)- not to mention the satisfaction I get when I see my clients' smiling faces after a good meal.

A FEW EXAMPLES OF A DAILY MENU

Breakfast
- Eggs in all shapes and sizes (omellette, scrambled, sunny side up, boiled, etc.)

- Crepes with jam/nutella

Lunch
- Risotto with prosciutto and rocket
- Indian red lentil curry (dhal) with rice
- Sea bream/sea bass prepared in oven with swiss chard and potatoes
- Spaghetti bolognese
- Pork fillet with bosnian 'sataraš' (bell pepper-tomato-onion stew)
- 'Rich' tuna/chicken salad
- Octopus salad

Desserts
- Banana split
- Pinapple dressed in white chocolate
- Muffins
- Crepes
- Fruit salad
